We have saved the best for last. This evening starts with the subtle layered sounds of bl0bj0b, then takes you through an entire evolution in the 132nd big bang, soothes your appetite with the eye and ear candy of Cracktux, and lifts your spirit with the dreamy improvisations of Earweego. Last but not least, make art can honestly say it is gonna close with a bang, as 5VOLTCORE attacks the creation of live visuals with hammers and angle grinders.
breaking news : 5voltcore has cancelled for family reasons :-[

Blobjob --- Fokke De Jong (NL) and Jankees van Kampen (NL)

bl0bj0b De Jong and van Kampen performed together during the e-culture fair on 23-10-2003 in Paradiso, Amsterdam, at okno public01 in Brussels on 26-5-2006, and at piksel06 in Bergen, Norway on 05-10-2006.
They seek to investigate possible affects for networked playing using an ever evolving collection of software designed to compose musical meaning on the fly. Their computers' network interfaces are used for email but also to have patterns and audio processes interrelate, causing a highly diverse field of small particles, evolving textures as well as swift and drastic movements.

132nd Big Bang --- Benjamin Cadon (FR)

132nd Big Bang This audiovisual performance, by Benjamin Cadon (Labomedia/Orléans), is an attempt to recall the story of the 132nd Big Bang, in which we currently find ourselves. Benjamin creates several tableaux, moving through different steps of this evolution, from nothing to everything. Audio and video mutually feed each other, generating the different audiovisual landscapes of this story.

Cracktux --- Chun Lee (TW/GB) and Olivier Laruelle (FR/GB)

Cracktux Using Pure Data and Processing, Cracktux, the French-Taiwanese artistic duo, takes the audience through a digital journey of experimental laptop performances, created with open source software.
Both are active members of Openlab, a collaboration of artists who engage themselves in the aesthetics and politics of Free Open Source Software Culture.
Cracktux audio-visual creations are bold, striking and wonderfully relaxing.

Earweego --- Echo Ho (CN) and Hannes Hölzl (IT)

Earweego Earweego are a Cologne based media art duo, working with computer composition, live performance and A/V installations. In the year 2000 Echo Ho and Hannes Hoelzl came together playing electro improvisation, calling themselves acustic Nomads. Weego the cat is a soundwalker and ear carrier; it travels the world to reveal the unheard.
Currently their development draws them towards digital audiovisual group improvisation, mainly using open source software such as Pure Data and SuperCollider. They've been touring around in Europe and China.

5VOLTCORE --- Emanuel Andel (AT) and Christian Gützer (AT)

breaking news : 5voltcore has cancelled for family reasons :/
5voltcore The initial point of our show is the audio-signal that we get from a DJ or audio-liveact and amplify.
The process
We mount stripped cables on the audio amplifier and use these to create fault currents on the chips of the graphic card. By the penetration of the graphic card with the amplified music signal the computer gets electrical impulses on parts of the hardware that are not used to and built for this kind of signal.
The visualization
In stead of clean 1's and 0's, analog music controlled electricity hits the pins - and the computer tries to interpret it - in real-time, so a visual stream reacting to the music occurs.
With the help of tool like hammers and angle grinders we expand the possibilities of deconstrution.
