Introduction to Pure Data (pd). Pd is a real-time graphical programming environment for audio, video and graphical processing. Pd can be used for audiovisual performances, installation art, software art and more. It is an environment that, because of its visual approach to programming, is also accessible for non-programmers. It makes the switch from graphical interfaces and prefab applications to creating image and sound generating software yourself possible and sometimes even pleasant.

The workshop will focus on interconnectivity, network (osc), and data routing. First, basic sound and visual concepts will be covered, then the participants will be able to connect Pure Data with their own preferred software, pd patches or other peoples pd patches.
