metabiosis

We are currently doing a series of 30 minutes long workshops with Amsterdam schoolkids aged 12 to 16. The classes visit the Netherlands Media Art Institute during the exhibition “Natural Habitat”. In the workshop they design their own virtual plants and make them grow on a computer. They give the plant a name and a short description. We collect all designed plants in our online Herbarium: http://metabiosis.goto10.org/herbarium

The workshop had some amazing results. We have introduced at least 250 new plants to the world! The workshops brought lots of new insights and was very inspiring for both the teachers as the students.
